My Collection of Pet Jewelry and Collar Accessories from Greyhounds Puttin’ on the Glitz has been designed with the style-conscious sight hound in mind! Our Greyhound Glitz is great for Meet and Greets, special occasions, or everyday wear, and is designed to compliment our Couture Collar Collection!
Every stylish hound dreams of the perfect accessory! Each one-of-a-kind beaded necklace by Greyhounds Puttin’ on the Glitz is made by hand, using fine quality materials such as classic Austrian crystal, Czech Fired Glass Beads, and Semi-Precious stones such as Tiger-Eye, Black Onyx and Hematite. Necklaces are accented with glass beads, as well as antique gold or silver toned beads and findings. All jewelry is strung using heavy Beadalon Beading Wire.
(Beadalon 7 encases 7 strands of fine-diameter stainless steel wire within a kink-resistant nylon coating and has 20 lb test strength). We incorporate large, easy to use, toggle or lobster claw clasps in our designs.
To Measure your Dog for a Necklace:
Using a cloth tape measure, measure neck snugly, as you would for a collar, then add 1 1/2" to 2". We suggest adding an additional 1" for longhaired dogs so the necklace will be clearly visible.
Safety Tip:
Remember that pet jewelry is only for adornment and should not be used as a restraint or attachment to a leash. Please supervise and do not leave your hound unattended while wearing any pet jewelry. Not all dogs naturally accept jewelry and may need time becoming accustomed to wearing necklaces and other jewels. Best Advice? Allow your hound to wear pet jewelry or accessories a minimum of 30 minutes to an hour each day until he or she becomes comfortable wearing them.
