GRR RECEIVES GRANT FROM BUILD-A-BEAR WORKSHOP BEAR HUGS FOUNDATION

This is our new pup Rachael Rae, 2 1/2 yrs. young, who arrived 12/26/2008. Giving lots of sweet kisses!!!
She was missing her right rear paw and needed catastrophic medical care in order to provide for her long term health. She had her leg amputated mid February 2009 and is doing really well!!!
She is one of many hounds helped through the Parris Emergency Medical Fund- Greyhound Rescue & Rehabilitation Cross River, NY.

Ginger, Guinness and Rachael Rae OUR beloved hounds, came to us through Greyhound Rescue and Rehabilitation.  Greyhound Rescue & Rehabilitation (GRR) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit adoption/placement organization comprised of volunteers, dedicated to raising public awareness about retired racing Greyhounds. Our family has been active in volunteering with this organization, particularly through fostering and the “Meet and Greet” programs, since May 2005.

Every day, in all parts of the country, racing greyhounds are being retired due to injury, illness, or just for being too slow, often by a split second. GRR helps as often as it can, to the extent of it’s limited resources. Their goal is to purchase or build a facility enabling them to house, care for, rehabilitate and profile 30-40 greyhounds at a time.

You can help! Every $ counts! Help defray the costs of medical care or donate to the "kennel" fund!  Let the hounds know you care!
